The freight forwarding industry is currently dominated by incumbents with limited use of technology, resulting in opaque pricing and inefficient systems and processes. Beacon aims to disrupt this sector by vastly improving the customer experience and increasing operational efficiency of customers by as much as 40%.
Founded in 2018 by Fraser Robinson (ex-Uber Head of Business EMEA) and headquartered in London, Beacon has an established customer base and offers a full range of services across ocean, air, and trucking, as well as supply chain finance - all managed on a single platform, using proprietary algorithms, data science, and cloud technologies. Beacon’s technology team is led by CTO Pierre Martin who was head of engineering at Amazon Logistics where he built the solution to deliver freight globally using cloud/AI.
